Frequently Asked Questions
How is the wine packaged and delivered? To ensure that the gift is received in perfect condition, it is packed in mail safe and post office approved packaging. After which, it is shipped via a world-wide network of specialist carriers. For UK mainland delivery Initial City Link Carriers are used. They delivery between 9am and 5.30pm.
Personalisation All our gifts may be personalised, by means of an engraved plaque or a gift tag. Please ask for details.
Availability All the wines shown on this website are subject to availability. This is due to the nature of some of the more fine and rare wines being in very short supply and highly sought after.
Pricing The cost of wines shown is dependent on the year / vintage and availability and the wine selected in that year. Prices vary between the various packages on offer. Next day UK mainland delivery is included in the price on the site.
What if there aren’t many bottles available for my chosen vintage? Armagnacs or Ports can usually be provided as an alternative for the lesser Bordeaux vintages, or where there are no wines available for a particular vintage.
Where is the wine from? Has it got a good provenance? The wine is sourced only from the most reliable places, every single bottle is inspected to ensure that it is in the best condition possible and then stored in optimum conditions in our cellars where temperature and humidity are monitored constantly.
What if the bottle is opened and the wine is undrinkable? Unfortunately, there isn't a 100% guarantee that wines of considerable age will be drinkable, without opening them first. If however, you feel that your wine is not fit to be drunk, we would share your disappointment. Although we would be unable to replace the bottle, due to the rarity of many of the bottles, we would be more than happy to offer a bottle of Champagne or wine as substitute to enjoy at a later date.
